SAFEbuilt 2024 Scholarship Opportunity
The Town of Severance has partnered with SAFEbuilt for our building department services to the community of Severance for the past twenty- eight (28) years. One of our core commitments is to give back to the communities we serve. By doing so, we are coming together to offer scholarships for up to four (4) seniors that share our commitment to safety and service within the Severance community.
The Scholarship:
The Town of Severance & SAFEbuilt Scholarship will recognize up to four (4) High School Seniors who live in Severance with a one-time scholarship of $1000.00. The scholarship will be paid directly to the institution prior to the students’ first term. Students will need to provide verification of acceptance.
Students will be asked to submit an essay of no more than 300 words explaining the most significant contribution they have made to the Severance community during their time here.
Review Committee:
The applications and essays will be reviewed by a four-person committee consisting of two Town of Severance employees and two SAFEbuilt employees. Their selection criteria will include:
- Quality and impact of essay
- Overall academic performance
- Involvement in community service
Important Dates:
The deadline for applications is April 26, 2024
Winners will be announced on May 14, 2024
