The Town of Severance is now accepting letters of interest for a vacant seat on the Great Western Trail Authority (GWTA) Board. GWTA is a local government entity, created by an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the towns of Windsor, Severance & Eaton to accept the donation of the abandoned Great Western Railway between the towns under the “railbanking” provisions of the 1983 amendments to the National Trails System Act. The appointment is a four-year term that will expire in September 2023. A member of the GWTA must be a resident of the Town of Severance for a minimum of one year prior to their appointment. Letters of interest explaining your qualifications and intent should be addressed to the Mayor and Town Board of Trustees, Attn: Michael Jenner, Town Clerk, and may either be sent to Severance Town Hall, 3 S. Timber Ridge Pkwy., P.O.
