With much of the world today flying by at such a rapid pace it can be hard to stop and get to know someone. Luckily, we at the Severance Police Department believe that nothing is more important than community. We have a brief article from the Greeley Tribune about the hiring process we did to select our new Chief here. Also we made a brief description about the Chief here.

Additionally, here are a few words from the Chief.

I would like to start by thanking each one of you for allowing me to be a part of the Town of Severance. For those whom I have not met yet, I am a Colorado Native and I am currently working on my Master’s Degree for Criminology. As a Police Officer, I started my career in Broomfield, CO and moved quickly to Silverthorne, CO where I stayed for over 14 years. I had decided to move to a smaller community because it was important for me to help resolve problems while working closely with my co-workers and the community as a whole. During my tenure at the Town of Silverthorne, I had been afforded the opportunity to work in many capacitates over the years; whether it was Patrol Officer, Patrol Detective, Sergeant, or Interim Chief. Within my time in Silverthorne, I discovered my passion for community policing. As your Chief, I will continue to take great pride in working closely with the community members and those I work with as I find it extremely important to grow strong relationships. While at Severance Days, I hope to start these relationships by meeting each and everyone one of you.

Very Respectfully,

Chief Misty Siderfin

We at the Severance Police Department want to thank all of you for allowing us to be a part of your community.
