Citizens Vote for New High School in Severance
On November 8, 2016 the citizens of Weld County voted to approve a bond of $104.8 million towards the construction of a new high school in the Severance area and renovation towards the existing Windsor High School. Question 3B was passed, which allotted $3.6 million phased in at $1.2 million dollar increments over three years and then continuing indefinitely, towards the operating costs of the new high school. Question 3C was the approval of $104.8 million towards the construction of the new school and the renovation of the existing school. This bond will be made possible with the implementation of a mill levy which will increase property taxes in the area.
